The challenges we faced in 2020 with strict guidelines established by the California Association of Realtors, local county and our own Brokerage brought on a new way of selling homes for many of us.Â
Over 26 years of selling homes we never encountered anything like this before. We quickly adapted and prepared ourselves by implementing new systems and utilizing the technology we have to keep our home sellers and buyers safe. We were able to show homes virtually whenever possible, schedule appointments for all showings and hired professionals to showcase all homes at their best.Â
Selling your home in 2021 should be safe. As your neighborhood Realtors, your safety is our priority. We developed an effective, efficient and safe system to get your home sold during the COVID crisis. If you are thinking of selling and have concerns about safety here are 5 tips to keep in mind.Â
- Hire a REALTOR that knows the guidelines in protecting you and your family.
- Ensure the proper notices have been signed to show your home.Â
- Limit the number of visitors/prospective buyers seeing your home to only the principals.Â
- All showings to be by appointment only.
- Turn on lights, leave interior doors, drapes and blinds open.Â
All agents and prospective buyers should wear face covering and whenever possible use gloves. Your realtor should be able to provide you with a copy of any additional guidelines.
